Those of you in New England or who like to travel might be
interested in the following event, which is not strictly a
bodyart event, but does tend to attract plenty of
enthusiasts...

Fetish Fair Fleamarket #7 is here!

The rumors are true, the seventh FFF will be July 27th, noon-5:30
at the Cyclorama in Boston. Tell your friends! Bring your kinky
neighbors! Did the snow keep you away from the December FFF? There
will be no snow on July 27th!

The Fetish Fair Fleamarket is the largest fetish/leather event in
New England and might even be the largest of its kind. Come join
dozens and dozens of vendors for an afternoon of browsing,
shopping, and socializing with leatherfolk, fetish fans, and SM
players of all persuasions.

The move from uptight hotels to a more friendly environment has
encouraged us to add some new features to the fun, like the S&M
Carnival Midway, with sm-themed games of chance and such. Vendors
are coming from as far away as Chicago and Washington, DC.
Attendees can expect to find for sale whips and floggers, corsets,
leather restraints, PVC fetish clothing, art, books, magazines,
jewelry, piercing jewelry, chain mail, safe sex supplies, and
more.

Admission is $2 for the general public, free for NLA members and
members of NLA affiliate groups or other leather activist
organizations. (My apologies for the mixup at the door last year.
My door people will be informed better this year! Members of TES,
GMSMA, Boston Ducks, Female Trouble, Dreizhen, Riders M.C., and
others need only show club ID or colors at the door to enter.)
Only those 18 years of age and up admitted! Our fundraising
beneficiary group this year will be the Houghtons, the New York
couple who have had their children taken away from them because of
the couple's consensual sm activities.

Speaking of door people and the midway--I NEED VOLUNTEERS. I need
set-up crew, break-down crew, and other on-site helpers such as a
Handicapped Lift operator, a vendor host/hostess, and Camera
Guard, and people to run the midway! Volunteers will be fed a
delicious lunch, get in free, and earn my eternal gratitude (and
maybe some other goodies.) Please contact me to sign up for a 2
hour work shift. If you are interested in running a midway booth
as a Houghton fundraiser, yes, yes, please contact me. Dunk the
Dominant? Pin the Tail on the Sub? I need you to make it happen!

Details will be forthcoming about post-flea social events, parties
and so on. The best place to find out about what's going on,
though, is of course at the flea itself. So get your but down
there to:

Directions to the BCA Cyclorama:

From Route 93 Southbound: Take Exit #17, East Berkeley Street.
Turn right onto East Berkeley, go to the fifth set of lights, and
make a left onto Tremont Street. BCA will be on your right.

From Route 93 Northbound: Take Exit #17, East Berkeley Street.
Turn left onto East Berkeley, go to the fifth set of lights, and
make a left onto Tremont Street. BCA will be on your right.

From the Mass Pike Eastbound: Exit at Copley Square. Take Right
onto Dartmouth Street, then left onto Tremont Street. BCA is one
block down on the left.

By T: Take the Orange Line to Back Bay or the Green Line to
Copley. Walk south on Dartmouth Street or Clarendon Street to
Tremont Street. Make a left on Tremont. BCA is at #539, you'll see
the glass dome of the Cyclorama.

Parking: The BCA has "limited" on-site parking for $7 per day.
There is metered parking on the street, and other parking garages
2-3 blocks away.

Accomodations for out of towners: We recommend two local hotels as
inexpensive places to stay. Five short blocks from the BCA is the
gay-owned Chandler Inn (corner of Berkeley and Chandler Streets)
which offers a rate of $89 single/$99 double. Call (617) 482-3450
for more info. Near to the Ramrod and other probably party
locations in the Fenway is the Howard Johnsons at 1271 Boylston
Street, who has rates from $98 single at (617) 267-8300. There are
also lots of nicer hotels in Copley Square. We do NOT recommend
that you stay at the "57 Park Plaza Hotel", (which is also a
Howard Johnsons and *not* the same as the *Boston* Park Plaza).
This is one of the hotels that would not rent function space to
our event because we were "inappropriate for a 'family hotel" like
theirs. Let's not spend our inappropriate money there, then!

book? Contact me, Cecilia Tan, at ff...@circlet.com or (617) 864-
0492.
