I accidently plugged my American serger (which runs on 110 V) into the
wall socket (which runs at 220 V). It is completely dead and they say
it will cost more to repair than the machine is worth.
I am thinkning about ordering the parts from the US. Has anyone else
had a similar accident?

Does happen not terribly often but it does.
If you email me with make and model I will see what I can do.
Hopefully it is a basic machine just a motor probably, Did the foot control
smoke?
