Have a good one!!!
Stel
Among sewing machine collectors (see the Featherweight Fanatics list and
the ISMACS website & list, both referenced in my wibsite), Touch & Sew
machines are referred to as Touch & Jam, Touch & Swear, etc. I have a
model 630 in my collection, but haven't played with it enough to develop
an opinion. They have a tendancy for the machine to continue running
after you remove your foot from the pedal. My husband managed to fix
this problem on mine, but your mileage may vary. From what I've heard about
these models, though, I would recommend you not spend very much for it
(say, $25 MAX) if you buy it, or hold out for something better. If you
want a good older zigzag machine, look for a Singer 401, 501, or 503 -
these all have good reputations.

Thanks for the advice. I decided to get the machine mainly due to the
cabinet. It is solid wood they also added a buttonhole attachment and
will work well with my other machines if needed.
