I am new to this board, so first, hello! I am desperately searching for
an online video that showed a woman "thread painting" a pansy. Has anyone
here seen it? Any idea where or how I could find it again? I've tried
everything I could think of on Google.

Thanks everyone!

There are lots of videos there of different work, many by Terry White.
Very nicely done, too. One thing about thread painting is that you do
need to practice on waste material until you get the hang of moving the
hoop around without breaking the needle.

Nick and Judy, thank you so much for your effort to help. I wasn't able
to post for several days, so quit trying until today. Don't want you to
think I'm so rude as to take up your time and then not even bother
checking back!

No, unfortunately, neither were the one I was looking for. The smallest
thing can drive me crazy. The lady I watched on video wasn't even using a
hoop. Oh well, I'll find something else to make me batty!

Once again, thank you so much!

I use the same news server you do (or should I say, "did"?) and am still
unable to get usenet access through the company. An email to their
support address has gone unanswered for 36 hours, which is very unusual
for them.

Have you heard from them at all?

Small world, indeed! I was searching for info on my possibly-defunct
news server when I spotted this thread -- and your name!

(After five days of no service, it's apparently time to seek out a new
server, dang it all.)

But this is all off-topic for the group, so I'll skedaddle. Sorry for
the intrusion, and please accept my apology for barging in.

I've had good reports about http://www.motzarella.org/ which is a
free service.

Yes, I heard back really quick. Here is a C/P of what they said.

***********
Thank you for reporting the issue.

Over the last 2 - 3 days we have been experiencing some connectivity
issues that have caused slow or dropped connections for some users. This
problem has also resulted in a reduced number of available posts in some
groups.

This issue is currently being resolved and full service will be restored
as soon as possible.

In the meantime we apologize for the inconvenience this is causing and
wish to assure you that we are doing everything we can to restore service
as quickly as we can.

Sincerely,

Dmitriy
