So, the reason I DO need a dongle replacement, is that it is necessary to
get patterns off of web sites, then to take the designs off of my
computer, to transfer to my machine, via floppys. The computer is where I
download them to and create different patterns to transfer to my machine.
Without it, my computer tells me, "no dongle attached" !

We know why a dongle is needed. Have you asked
Husqvarna/Viking for a replacement yet?

Yes, I contacted Husqvarna and they do NOT make that dongle any longer so
now it's a matter of FINDING one that is not in use. Hoopefully I CAN.

You may possibly find a hack to circumvent it's usage.

Do some searches on "husqvarna xxxx", where xxx = hacks, hackz, serialz,
dongle, bypass, etc..

If you are transfering designs to your machine by floppy then why not
use another program to work your designs like Embird? I do not have a
viking so may be way out of line. I do know that a number of years ago
a cracked version of bernina was on alt.binaries.crafts.pictures.
Maybe some one posted a cracked version of your software. I have
brother and bernina and do not need the company software to put
designs on my machines. I write to the cards with a magic box. brother
is probably from the mid 1990s and bernina is from around 2001. Good
luck,
s

Did you find an answer for this issue? I have the SAME thing. I work at a school and the Dongle has disappeared. I called the software support and emailed the copr. office. No luck yet.
