I have the PED BASIC program w/usb reader/writer and a friend has
given me the up grade to PE BASIC 5.0. I have installed the software
and it tells me the reader/writter needs to be updated. What do I
need??????

Version 5 comes with a new USB Card device that you'll need to make it work.
