I am wondering if anyone has an original copy of Uli's X Stitch program
Kreuz.exe and would be so kind as to email me a copy. ( It would be much
appreciated if someone is willing to send me this program if they could send
me the following files that I am lead to believe are all needed for this
program : Kreuz.exe, Kreuz.EN, PlugIns\PCSdll. (beta.exe)).

Thanks so very much
Nicole

Hi I found your question on Google, when I was looking for Uli's Cross stitch program. Did you ever get it, and can it be shared? If so, would you share it with me?

Seriously, you expect a reply to a thirteen-year-old
message?

The thread for that message never did result in anyone's
sharing a copy, TTBOMK.

Beverly, this is funny, to come up 13-years late.

Anyone who wants some nice cross-stitch designs in different formats can buy
them from Nancy's Notions. She has several in her latest catalog.
I bought one set last year, but haven't tried them out yet. I plan to do
one set for myself next week and if they turn out nice, I'm going to make my
sisters & DSIL a set of dishtowels for Christmas; they are religious
designs.

I am almost certain I bought a cross stitch cat for my DGD a
few years back at emblibrary.com although I cannot find it
now.

This takes me waaaaaay back, for sure. IIRC, Uli's program was
withdrawn, and a commercial product made available. I happen to have a
copy of it -- complete with the floppy disks that it came on. No
computer to use with those disks, they're the real floppy ones, 5" size.
Oh, it's still available!

I have an old DOS based computer downstairs somewhere I
saved for the sole purpose of converting 5" floppies to
3.25" crunchies. Now I have a USB multi-disk drive I can
use to read the crunchies. ;-} Mostly I don't use any of
those old legacy apps anymore, but still, I *might* want to
someday.

I doubt the folks angling for a copy on Usenet are willing
to pay £65.00GBP/$104.458USD for a legitimate version of the
software. But I'm a cynic from way back.

Thinking back some more, the Turbo Cross program is not Uli's program.
I think Uli sold the rights to his to Viking, and it was much more
expensive than the Turbo Cross program. Turbo Cross was done by a small
company, a family, if I'm not mistakened. I do recall exceptional
support from them, with free upgrades as they became available, and lots
of questions answered and step-by-step assistance for those having
trouble. But a person would have to do a lot of custom cross-stitch to
make it worthwhile. At that time, I had just my Singer EU, and it was a
good program for my use.
