Online font/monogram shop

[BEI Design]

I have been searching for a Celtic knot font to make
monograms in kilts. No luck with that so far (anyone have
any links to share?), but I did find this online shop which
has some very nice alphabets and monograms:

I just order three, I'll report back after I stitch out some

Do you have software that can use computer fonts? If so, there are many
celtic knot fonts available, many of them free. This is the result of a
Google Images search - you can get to them with other searches, too.

G:\newfonts\Foundries\Village\Feijoa\Feijoa-Bold.otf

"Celtic Knot Fonts" generally means either a text font with letters that
include such patterns, or not-text "dingbat" fonts that have borders and
lines and ornaments created as celtic knots.

I bought Embird Font engine add-in, but I'm not thrilled
with it so far.

What I'm looking for is upper case initials with Celtic
knots in the background, or letters incorporating Celtic
knots. I thought I had located one in a search, someone
posted pictured of a project using a "Martha Pullen(?)"
design, but now I cannot even locate that image, and nothing
on Pullen's site is similar.. :-(

I couldn't make that work. I searched for
"Feijoa\Feijoa-Bold" and still didn't see what you were
sharing. What I did see was a nice serif font, but nothing
Celtic about it. ???

I will try the Embird Font engine on that one to see what
happens, but I'm not optimistic. I could just create the
monogram text, scan it and save as a jpeg, then digitize it
myself. I was hoping someone had already done all that for
an entire alphabet.

Exactly what I had in mind. I was going to buy the 5
individual letters I need for two kilts, but the whole set
was just a few $s more. Yay!

OOPS! I pasted the wrong link. Won't do any good unless you have either
an embroidery program such as Artista or PEDesign that can use computer
fonts directly, or Viking/Pfaff's font-to-design generator (I forget
whether it's 3DFontDigitizing or 3DQuickFont. Viking has W-a-a-y too
many separate pieces.

My PSW2.0a software for the Singer Quanmtum XL6000 makes a
valeint 9but unsuccssful;) attempt to work on TT fonts. The
Embird Font Engine is a little better, but not wonderful.

Nice site, thanks! I love many of the Celtic knot designs
there. I have digitized a few Celtic knots in the past,
they are hard to do because of all the "overs and unders".

However, I found a pre-digitized font package, I'll probably
use that. I also bought three different monogram sets, so I
think I'll make up several virtual images for my son-in-law
and grandson and let them decide which they want in their
kilts. I'm closing in on finishing the one for my
son-in-law, and my grandson wants to wear his at his college
graduation in May. I intend to put their monograms or
initials green-on-green in the lining.
