I have just bought the Janome personalizer 2000.It is very good but I am
having a problem reading the pre programmed memory cards.I keep getting a
message asking if I have my scan and sew switched on, which I have. Also
have tried all the combinations of ports. I can down load designs I have on
the computer to the blank card.I even managed to read card 121 and have
saved these designs on to my temp file. I understand its only the cards over
100 that you can read this way.We have a printer and flatbed scanner
installed could this cause a conflict??

Hi there, Mike & Izzy, I have had an identical problem with Personalizer as
designs that I have mirror imaged refuse to read back to the blank card.
The message I get is the same one... is the scan n' sew connected etc etc.,
when you know damn well it is. There is a glitch in the 3 new programs
Personalizer, Customizer and Digitizer), and dealers should be receiving
floppy disks of upgrades which should be provided to customers at no cost.
I was at Janome headquarters in Melbourne (Aust) only yesterday, and
received this information, as I had been complaining about this problem. So
ask your dealer to find out about it. Your printer and scanner should not
be a problem. I did get round the problem by sending the designs to
Smartsizer, and reading them from there, but I have now bought Digitizer,
and that solves just about everything. It is a fantastic program, but sadly
awfully expensive. I hope this helps. Kath. Wilkinson

I have the Customizer 2000 & have found that all files and folders have to
be closed in order for it to work porperly. I hope that this helps. Nancy
