Any input would be appreciated. I just got a Sega Menacer, but, I am
unable to make it work. I believe that the problem is that where the 6
AAA batteries get inserted (where the scope mount clips to the gun),
there are no battery contacts. I see the springs at the front side,
but, where the plastic piece (the scope mount) slides into the gun in
the back (holding the batteries in place), there are no contacts. Am I
missing a piece? Also, does anyone know if it is supposed to plug into
controller port 1 or 2? (I know SuperScope plugs into port 2). Jayson

its in port 2 good thing as its the only port on my nomad man i never
miss
:)

good thing you askend the question
i dug it out of the closet and it had batterys in it i bet in a year
they would have fuzzed up and wrecked the contacts

yes there is a metal piece to jump the batterys a but of metal glued
would suffice like a paper clip

Thanks. I got it up-and-running. That thing is sweet. I can't wait to
find out what games are out there for it. I have the title cart & it
even those games look reasonably cool. Does this really work with your
Nomad? I have really wanted a Nomad for a while, but, trying to hold
out for garage sale prices =). I have a Gamegear with a cable that
adapts that I/O port on top to 9-pin. I use it in combination with the
Master System converter to play 2-player SMS games (Double Dragon,
etc.). So, I know it reports as Player 2. So, I plugged the reciever
into that, and put in Shooting Gallery, but, couldn't get it to
respond. I tried a regular SMS Phaser, but, they are made for Player 1
port, so, I knew that wouldn't work regardless. I know that Nomad is
the Genesis, so, it makes sense. If this things works on Nomad, I will
have to just shell out the cash. Thanks again.

There are, like, two games out there that can use it:

The Menacer Cart
T2: The Arcade Game

I don't think Lethal Enforcers will let you use it, nor Snatcher(they
require the actual Konami "Justifier"). Mad Dog McGree *might* let you use
it...but I'm not sure.

Wow, that's wild...I didn't know that MM worked with the SCD control screen.
Very cool!
