Saw the UK Megadrive version for sale on ebay...

There are plenty of US Genesis carts for sale on ebay for box art
comparison. For example:

If you look closely at the box on the USA version, you can see the
"FREE" marker in the lower left-hand corner that refers to the free
Mutant League sports cards that came with the game.

I've no interest in bidding on the UK version since it's the same
great game. But I love the box art!
