Meaning that guys who tell others which gurus to listen to have put
themsleves in the position of guru becuase they want others to listem to
them on the exact same topic.

That's what Bruce Lee meant when he said "if you put water in a cup, it
becomes the cup."

Personally i think that that particular Bruce Lee quote fits perfectly for
the idea of not being too caught up with canned material and making your own
style/attitude.

Here's the whole quote from bruce lee:

"Don't get set into one form, adapt it and build your own, and let it grow,
be like water. Empty your mind, be formless, shapeless - like water. If you
put water in a cup it becomes the cup, if you put into a bottle it becomes
the bottle. You put water into a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water
can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend."

You could interpret that as don't just stick to the mystery method, cocky
funny, etc etc. Develop your own style.

I suppose if you bash the president on foreign policy, you become the
president and can make foreign policy decisions.

I agree it's a good quote, though I was referring specifically to how
someone who advises others not to listen to gurus is in fact performing the
same function as a guru when he does this.

And this is why you attack guys like mystery and Ross, because you want to
be them and you want to have people care what you have to say... thanks for
sharing your projection.

That's not what Lee was talking about at all with that quote, you
subliterate ninny. He was speaking of adaptation and flexibility, being
able to change to suit one's surroundings and circumstances, rather than
adhering to ridged fighting styles.

Had absolutely NOTHING to do with the quote from Bruce Lee, demonstrating
once again how poor your reading comprehension skills actually are.

Ummm, numbnuts, congress is elected to put a check on presidential power and
policy. That's their job.

I would think so because it's correct to think so.

If someone is telling you who to listen to, they are wanting you to take
their advice, just as a guru would.

Only in your rather odd mind. I see that you still refuse to accept the
dictionary definition of 'guru'.

I am a psychic. When I can't find justice any other way, I cast a
spell. Here's another one:

I command the heavens to make this true: Any person who criticizes me
from this point forward will experience the following:

1. If they have a child in gymnastics, that child will suffer a
paralyzing injury in the gym;

2. If they do not have a child in gymnastics, their favorite gymnast
will suffer the same injury.

I do this not to wish injury on anyone, but to tell the Gods that I
have had enough of this criticism, and that if my request in the name
of God for people to begin looking at both sides of this story is not
heeded, then I will ask God to teach a lesson to those who ignore my
request.

Just so you know, I made a similar request regarding Tabitha a year
ago, she ignored it, and her son wound up ill in the hospital for the
entire summer. That is when she made her false allegations against me
which have led to what you see here.

Anyone else want to try me? If I turn out to be right, you will have
no one to blame but yourselves.

Don't mess with a psychic.

Is this the way you rationalize yourself being a guru? Because you
critique something of the guru?

I suppose if you criticize a master chef's cooking, you become a master
chef.

I suppose if you criticize the military, you become a general yourself.

I suppose if you criticize an airline pilot's performance, you become
an airline pilot yourself.

I suppose if you criticize a computer operating system, you become an
expert computer programmer (or maybe you become a computer operating
system)

I suppose if you criticize Britney Spears, you become Britney Spears.

Does this mean if you criticize Gordon Roy Parker of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania, you become Gordon Roy Parker of Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania?

Ew.

It's like the old running joke about movie critics; they only became critics
because they sucked royally while trying to make it in the film industry.
That about says it all: Being a critic does not make you an expert.

Same principle: if you bash someone's foreign policy, by definition, you are
promoting your own, even if that policy is not to listen to the other guy's.

So you agree with me that you believe you can be the president and can
make foreign policy decisions merely by disagreeing with the president?

Your claim explicitly changes if you say "you are promoting your own"
policy, when there can be no enforcement of your promoted policy.

Your claim is that merely by criticizing a guru, you immediately become
a guru yourself, with all the rights and privileges appertaining.

Which is a silly claim based on faulty logic, as I've described.

Any attempt to retroactively change your argument will weaken it
further, as you well know.

I notice that you ignored the other claims I made based on your own
logic, because they would show your logic to be inaccurate and faulty.

Not that your faulty logic is news to anyone but perhaps yourself, but
maybe your self-admitted chronic major mental illness will go into
remission long enough for you to have a moment of rationality.

Buzzzz. It's hard to tell sometimes if you are the Gordonite sock puppet
or if the Gordonies are your sock puppet. You all seem to suffer from the
same If not A then B logic falacy.

As the Repubicans are pointing out... bashing a policy (or product) does
not in any way mean that you are supporting or even proposing a competing
product. It's entirely possible to bash something you disagree with
without in ANY WAY bringing something else to the table as a counter
proposal or offer. You do not automatically agree with an opposing view
simply because you disagree with its counter view.
