I know this may be a sensitive subject for many...and many claims it
doesn't matter. I have asked a lot of women about it (though we know
that women don't really know what they really want), and they say,
that: "As long as he is taller than me, it doesn't matter at all how
tall he is". They also say: "If he is smaller than me, I would have a
problem respecten him". And: "He need to be taller than me to make me
feel feminin".
I would like to know the average height among girls and boys.
And could you please tell it in meters and centimeters. These feet and
inches is not very precise.
So how tall are you? And what do you think middle-height is?
I'm 1.78 m
Thomas
I´m 1.90 m
And the middle-height for men between (age)17-30 are around your
height.

She has a means value of being with a tall man. If you are tall,
great. If you aren't then satisfy her ENDS value of feeling feminine
some other way, such as pattern language.

My girlfriend is one or two inches (approx. 2.5-5 centimetres) taller that I
am. I successfully #closed a girl who was four inches (approx. 10
centimetres) taller than I am...and I blew it by being *really* AFC, but my
size wasn't the issue.

I'm 1.57m. I'm certain that you can find the average for your country if
you searched the web a bit. A quick search indicated that in the US, the
average height is 1.75m.
Read maddman's reply. He's explained things well. When I'm working on a
girl, I like to bring up the fact that I'm a martial artist because I
realize that a lot of girls associate tallness with an ability to protect.
The tallness isn't what they're looking for in this case. It's the
protection. By mentioning that I'm a martial artist, I can get around
having to provide what they *think* they want (a tall/big guy) and get to
what they *really* want (someone who can protect them if trouble arises).
You should take a look here: http://fastseduction.com/asf-faq.shtml#q006
Also, look in the fastseduction.com archive or google. There have been
quite a number of threads on this subject.
Lastly, when you really get down to it, despite what girls may tell you,
height is only the issue that you make it. Trust me on this. I know it
better than most.

A lot of women do require men to be taller than them, the reason being
because it adds a bit of peace of mind for some women, or a form of
feeling protected. Now notice I said some women like tall men for this
reason, some have other reasons.
You know about those school stories where the shortest person gets picked
on by the rest of the class? Well when a girl is out with her man and hes
shorter than her, other men are going to try to mess with him. If the
person is tall (around 6'3" starting) they wont mess with him or his
woman, or are less likely to.
Middle height is considered to be 6'2 - 6'7 i assume. Most women say they
like a man at least 6' but they tend to take the ones 6'3" and over.
>I have no idea what 1.78 metres is. please mention your height in terms
>of feet and inches like everyone else.
Actually, just about everyone in Europe and Asia refers to height in
metres (metrically). Who is the 'everyone else' you are talking about?
Americans?
BTW, it's not that hard to convert metres to inches, and then inches
and feet. You DO know how to do that, don't you? If you don't, and
you're past the 6th grade, you might want to go back.
Ok, here, I'll save you some time. Multiply by 39.372. That'll give
you metres to inches. You do the rest.
>A lot of women do require men to be taller than them, the reason being

I think the most important factor in making women want men taller than
them is that it is the norm. Women, like everyone else don't like to
look weird in public. Walking along with a man shorter than them kind
of looks weird, so they like taller guys. This is the same force that
causes guys to not want to go out with women taller than them - it
looks weird. Not wanting to look weird is a HUGELY powerful force in
our society. It's retarded, but it's true.

What? Guys are going to try to mess with him because he's short? I
don't see too much of this (if any) in the non-playground adult world.
Where do you hang out?

I think your numbers are way out of wack. Average height for Americans
is around 5'9". This is a fact, it's all over the web. I'm not arguing
with you that taller isn't better, I think it is. I myself am 5'9",
but don't waste any time moaning about wanting to be taller. It's
irrelevant. I can get women just fine.
Like other posters have said, if a guy finds that most of the women he
likes are taller than him, he has to satisfy her END values of feeling
comforted and protected. That's all that matters. You have been
reading the basics, right?

It's happened to me in clubs. Saw some guys try to sarge my chick

Uh huh. and you know for a fact this was only due to your height?
There's no way you can know that, they may have done it if you were
6'6". It's going to happen occasionally, even if you're Brad Pitt or
Jackie Chan.
Anyway, height is STILL irrelevant.

As adopting the PUA lifestyle has scant interest for me at this time,
I don't intend to be a regular here. However, my height-related
sociological research suggests that the ENDS value of tall height is
often just that: tall height.
So reading that which has come before you is pointless? What
height-related sociological research is that?
Your wanting to not become a PUA is completly irrelevant to this

Jack married his. Why are you even here if you don't want to learn?
If height is an obstacle MOVE AROUND IT. Stop making excuses.
Don't be so arrogant you stupid dumb fuck. I think of my height in
terms of meters (1.78 also), as do many other people. If you are
too stupid and/or lazy to convert that to inches (hint 1 in = 2.54 cm)
why should anyone else help you?

This is true. A friend of mine is really tall for a woman (6') - and she
will most definitely not be with someone shorter than her. I've seen
her be completely enthralled with folks and then when a chance is made to
see how tall they are, will ditch them. There's a small amount of wiggle
room there, if they're less than about an inch or so from my experience
and they are really really good, then it flies.

Average male height, in America at least, is 5'10. I'm personally 6' and seem
to be somewhat on a 'cusp'. Folks in that 5'11+ range seem to start calling
people tall at 6'2ish or so in general, but the vast majority of people
under 5'11 (since both the average male and female are shorter than that)
seem to more frequently consider even 6' to be 'tall'.
My life would have been more difficult If I had been a 185 cm 22 y.o boy.
Be a Man and an Alpha, do your job well and the height is not an issue..

Hey Dumbass. Realize the US is the last place on Earth that uses
imperial and find your OWN fucking conversion tables. Maybe than you
fuckers wouldn't crash 2Billion $ into Mars.
My apologies to all US citizens who are not lazy dumbasses.
Europeans don't need to use conversion tables either, "dumbass",
because we measure everything in metric. Conversion only becomes a
problem when talking to Americans. However, this seems to be a very
US-orientated group...

How is the Imperial system sensible? It uses weird mixture of number
bases, including 12 and 14. Metric is at least consistent -- all the
units for, say, length, are related to each other by powers of ten.
Alright, since this thread is on height, I am 5'12" tall.
Actually, here in Britain we use both systems (we started going metric
about 38 years ago and never finished the job :-)).

I know :). But it seems like anything "official" (including stuff sold
in shops, etc.) is measured in metric. AFAIK the only metric system is
taught in schools (it was when I was there).
John D. Douglass
I know. I was being ironic.
Saying 5'12" is like saying 1 metre and 100 cm. 1 metre 80 cm is the same as
5'11"; 1.80 m is the same as 5.92 feet. It's the same numbers. It just how you
write them down.

No, 5'12" is 1.83 metres. I was just making the comparison between two silly
ways of giving measurements -- I said "is like" and not "is the same as".
I think the imperial system is crap, mostly because pf the weird numeric bases it uses (12, 6, 14).
Apart from that is just another system...

This is about the same time Canada did the same thing. In fact,
because of the US initiative. We just did a better job at it. The
difference? EDUCATION. Something the states is NOT a world leader in.
>English units are still used here mostly because of our construction and

I use both. My kids don't know what inches are except for me telling
them. Everything in Canada gets done in metric EXCEPT for lumber
because we export 80% of it to the States. I have used metric
material. If the States actually succeeds in stopping Canadian
softwood imports, the complete retooling of the sawmills can be done.
But the States can not supply all their lumber needs and will
eventually have to buy from Canada again... in metric? Hey, it'll be
cheaper and money drives the market (shrug). You guys are going to
make it happen yourselves.

Good thing you qualified that with a 'probably'.
Welcome to Canada. You want fast? Try a 4 month construction season.
3 guys, no union, 1600 sqft house built to R2000 standards, inspected
by the most arrogant gov't building inspectors anywhere, from bare lot
to occupancy in 3 weeks. Using subtrades, without inconvenient
overlapping, 2 weeks. My only bitch is the 8 months of paperwork

Build it right the first time and you won't be wasting $$ replacing
it. You have to stop handing me such easy lines...
NOW, I'm NOT stupid and I KNOW the U.S. influences Canadian industry
to a very high degree and they are very similar in driving forces,
methods AND time constraints (we don't stop working in the winter),
and I'll be dealing with conversions for a long time to come. But,
let's look at this from a different, ON-TOPIC point of view.
IMHO, this is just excusing your FAILURE to EDUCATE with any excuse
you can come up with. Let me guess, when you get shot down by an HB
it's because SHE is fucked up, the lighting wasn't right, there were
too many CB's, she likes taller men, etc.
NOT because YOU COULD IMPROVE OR CHANGE YOUR METHODS.
IS IT POSSIBLE this is the mindset that has made America an AFC
wasteland filled with momma boys?
"I can't/don't want/shouldn't have to change so I will just excuse my
inability to learn. Mommy and I will manufacture a whole bevy of
reasons to support my fragile little ego trip and can remain convinced
I am the best in the world at everything and if something isn't right
I just need to throw more money at it. May I please buy you dinner?"
Take a good look around you and ask yourself, "Is this anywhere near
on target? Is this really how the U.S. has created the user-bitch
mentality in it's women and exported it to the rest of the world?"
Evolution happens. Man rules because of his ability to learn and adapt
to CHANGE. The female mindset typically resists change. It's possible
that if the cold war had continued Washington would have pushed
education and efficiency harder. Stronger, alpha presidents may have
been a necessity. The US mindset has been stagnant for decades without
any outside international pressures, but things change...

P.S.
I DO carry a calculator at work. To calculate IMPERIAL measurements.
As in 4 & 5/16 times 9 spindle spacings equals 69/16 x 9 equals 621/16
equals a 38 & 13/16" rail.
In metric that would be 110 mm spacings and 99 cm rail. No contest.
Oh, and I also use an electric level, a laser transit, a full set of
