I had this set up on my old hard drive, which crashed. I've looked around
the site (a lot) and I can't find info on this. I know I have to register
and log on - that's fine. I remember there were about 12 or so groups, but
I can't remember or figure out how to sign up.

Thanks much!

First, here's the general instructions (regardless of newsreader
program) from the mASF site, in case you haven't read it. Scroll down
for specific part on Outlook Express.

(ASF.* Moderated Newsgroups)
How to access the these conferences through your newsreader.
First, if you haven't already done so, create an account (free) at:

http://www.fastseduction.com/discussion/
You'll get an e-mail with a random password. Use your username and that
password to log into the web discussion at least once. If you like, you
can change your assigned password and modify your profile.

Then go to your newsreader software and add the following server:

discussion.fastseduction.com (port 119)
When you access that server, it will ask for user name and password...
enter the ones assigned to you. Then go to the subscribe option in your
newsreader, update the list of available groups, and subscribe to the
groups which show up on the server (whatever ones interest you), just
like another other news sever. The following groups will show up in the
list:

alt.seduction.fast.advanced
alt.seduction.fast.fieldreports
alt.seduction.fast.general
alt.seduction.fast.missions
alt.seduction.fast.off-topic
alt.seduction.fast.playettes
alt.seduction.fast.sex
alt.seduction.fast.tactics-techniques
fastseduction.com.suggestions

Those groups are directly linked to the web conferences. Any post you
make on the news server will show up in the web interface. Also, any
post that is made through the web interface will show up in the
associated newsgroup.

That's it.

You can also choose to participate in discussions via e-mail. Just
subscribe to each conference's associated mailing list from the web
interface. It's easy. Just click "MORE..." button from the top menu bar,
click on "Mailing Lists" in the list of links that appear on the right,
and check off which mailing list you want to subscribe to. Then click
"Save".

If you have any trouble using the newsgroup interface (occasional
connection problems or
timeouts), try switching to the web interface and try the newsgroup
interface a little later.
This system is not 100% rock solid so there will be occasional glitches
until the wrinkles
get smoothed out.

FOR OUTLOOK EXPRESS:

-(First create an account at mASF as per the above instructions to get
your userid and
password)
-Run Outlook Express
-Click on "Set up a Newsgroups Account"
-select "Create a new internet news account"
-enter a handle (iefake name and fake address) etc
-Now you get to the part where you specify the news server name (NNTP
name) for the new
account, which you will set to be the NNTP address of the mASF server.
-enter the NNTP server name as: discussion.fastseduction.com
-check the box that says "Server requires me to log on"
- in the "account name" and "account password" fields, enter the
name and password that
you were assigned after creating your new account as per the previous
section of
instructions. click "finish"
- You'll now have this new newsgroups account listed in Outlook Express.
When you first use
it, you'll need to download the list of available newsgroups, just like
you did when you
first used Outlook Express on Usenet.
- You're all set!

There are no "private groups." Ther eare COMMERCIAL groups that try
to look like this group, but they are not archived the way USENET is,
not provided by your ISP, and commercially owned. They also practice
censorship.

If you're that easily fooled online, you won't have a chance with the
women you claim to want.

They don't practice censorship, and the previous poster has never provided
any evidence of them engaging in censorship. But they do completely ban
"Ray Gordon", whose actual name is Gordon Roy Parker, from posting. In fact,
they were largely created due to his continued disruption in
alt.seduction.fast. He appears to remain bitterly jealous of their success.

Note the previous poster provides no evidence that the individual was
fooled in any way.

The First Amendment guarantees freedom of speach. So gordon has the right
to go onto a public newsgroup and be an asshole. As long as he does not
break the law. However, the First Amendment is not absolute, and it does
not guarantee him a forum. Noone need set up a special group for him,
although one actually was set up for him, Alt.seduction.outfoxing. He
refused to use it after initally being sooo happy and honored. He found out
that nobody was interested in his group, or him.

Just like his blog, which has yet to attract even one follower, inspite of
his spamming it all over USENET. His other blog as not been updated in a
couple of years, and his yahoo group is as dead as Julious Caesar. He
claims to be "too smart to fail", and yet all I can see is an unending
stream of failure from him. Pathetic....

Apparently gordita isn't too clear on the meaning of private.

And he hates that people have the option to go to group where he's
unable to troll and spam.

Well think about it, the success of the private groups shines a
spotlight of gordo's failures.

Gordo can't get anyone to follow his blog or join his yahoo groups...
yet mASF is thriving.
