Good Lord, you're still here. That's great. I remember our
conversations regarding Truecrypt many years ago - lot of water under
the bridge since then.

You were immersed in family woes last we communicated. Hope that's
all sorted out and well behind you now.

I wanted to talk to you about a few things, such as Paul Le Roux and
the rumours he was the shadow behind TC (which makes sense - he was/is
brilliant and did devise E4M from what I recall). He went bad, yet
you and he were colleagues back in the early 'oughties. What do you
think? He's the evil genius behind TC?

And what about Sarah Dean and her utter, complete and abrupt
disappearance from the scene aftert putting together OTFE? Strange is
it not?

How is DCPP which is the closest equivalent to TC (and now Veracrypt)
I can think of. Except, if I recall correctly again, you have
mastered UEFI boot for DCPP which neither TC nor Veracrypt have -
Veracrypt only works with hidden OS on 2TB drives using legacy
boot/MBR whereas I think DCPP can be set up with it's hidden OS on any
size system drive whether GPT or MBR - or UEFI or legacy boot.
Masterly.

I wouldn't mind trying out DCPP on trial basis, does Securestar
provide a trial period for DCPP or only containers? Purely academic
use of course :)

Anyhow Shaun it's good to hear from you again. I hope all is good on
your end and things are sorted out for you and happiness is yours in
this Covid era of chaos and surprise. Take good care.

Hey Shaun, long time no talk :)

I've only just clocked on again to this old group and with pleasure
got your message.

My old email we used back in 2015 hasn't worked for a while (zoho.com)
but I'll now drop you a line on your home email very soon. Good to
hear from you and I hope all is well and sorted.

The few things of topical interest I was going to chat to you about
include whether you managed to get the hidden OS working on UEFI
Bios/GPT discs - and the shocker about your former colleague who is
now suspected of being the artisan behind Truecrypt He turned out to
be quite the libertarian.

Let me gather my thoughts and I'll drop you a line. As I said above,
excellent to hear from you!

Take care

Hi, I didn't get anything so far. I might have missed some
as I have been in the hospital for a couple of weeks late
Jan and early Feb.

Yes i did. DriveCrypt Plus Pack version 6.20.

You can create HiddenOS on any GPT Partition under UEFI
firmware, including USB connected full hard drives. (IE Sata
etc.) For USB the UEFI BIOS firmware has to have USB enabled
at boot time of course.
It does not reply on the partitions being the same size,
provided there is room for all the files.

Hey Shaun, apologies for top posting.

I've just fired off an email and apologies for the time lapse when I
was the one who is OP on this. Things got me down for time. Email
explains...

Regards Shaun
