I just installed a Power 832 v2 with one LCD5500Z keypad one PC5132
Wireless Receiver Module, two WLS907 universal transmitters, and
threeWLS904 Wireless PIR's. I performed an installers walk test and all
modules performed well, placement tests show GOOD on all modules, and
system test worked fine as well. Generally the system is working fine.
The only problem I'm having is the panel is displaying a General System
Tamper trouble and there is no way I can clear it. Aside from assigning
zones, the only other programming I did was to shorten exit delay and
disable TLM since the panel is not hooked up to Bell. I just can't
figure out where this General System Tamper is coming from.

This didn't work either. I powered the system up and down a few times and
nothing helped. I still get the General System Tamper Trouble.

A general system tamper is usually to indicate an expander module tamper
zone fault. Check your 5132 "TAM" terminal it should either have a tamper
switch on it or be shorted to GND if you don't want to use it. Failing this
make sure keypad tampers are not enabled.

Whenever you remove or add a device that has be "learned" you must go to
section 902 & reset the module supervision.

Mike,

If you'd like a helping hand, call or e-mail me. I'd ge happy to

5132 has no TAM. The expander has it. Put a jumper on TAM to BLK terminal
.

He doesn't have an expander in the system. 5132 does have a tamper terminal
pair, last two on the right side of the board. Just jumper them together

PC5132 is the wireless receiver. It has no TAM terminals.
The other possibility for the error is if you enabled Keypad tamper in
section 016, option 8 and you don't have a tamper switch for keypad.

This is one ofg the areas where Napco really excels over DSC. When there's
a system trouble or tamper message the PC software and the central station
report tell you precisely where the trouble is coming from. I don't
understand why DSC doesn't improve this very good Power832 system to display
the same level of information. It is not all that difficult to do.
