Anyone know anything about Ramtron alarm systems. I'm not sure I got the
name right. Apparently they have no e-prom memory.

They were based out of Winnipeg. High pressure sales pitch. The protection
consisted of a none-too discriminating audio detector mounted inside a fancy
stained wood box that was sold door to door for thousands of dollars as
"State-of-the-art, perimeter protection". No digital dialer, many false
alarms, etc. etc. When they couldn't find enough seniors to prey on, they
started selling franchises for incredible amounts of money.

They closed the doors about 10 years ago. But the principles are still
operating various ventures in Winnipeg.

As always, buyer beware.

HAD TAKEN OVER SEVERAL RAMTRON SYSTEMS IN ONT.
They are a POJ system ( piece of junk)

always false like crazy-replace the POJ as it is useless.

had one client who got ripped off---$4000.00 for 5 sensors and a control.
not a very happy camper-guy left town when problems surfaced.

Ramtron at one point used a flyer telling people why monitoring was
not worth while. When clients pushed to have the systems monitored a
PC 1000 or PC 1550 board was used.

Things sure have changed eh? Selling a $4000 dollar system in todays
market is not an easy task. I have contact to a person who has
installed many Ramtron systems. He's a good guy and would probally
help if you need more info.

He was a dealer but found that Ramtron had placed another dealer on
the same street and took offence to it. Have not heard much from him
over the last year but security was his second income anyway.
