I am looking for information on this particular panel. e.g. how do I do a
warm startup and I keep getting an open circuit trouble on Horns but all my
signal circuits are good and when I remove them they each go into trouble.

Hey Ken,

Back when I was a Simplex Tech I would place in the program an equation that
would among other things "disable" the horn/strobe ckts, the city connect and
fire doors on a warm or cold start to pervent accidental alarms from inproperly
installed devices, could this be what is happining?

FYI I also always created a "psuedo" trouble that was held on panel and city
trouble until I had "un-disabled" (is that a word?) the 1st program as a
reminder that things were still disabled.

If it's the 4100 Series FACP I am thinking about the main processing board
that houses the LCD dispaly can be swung down forawrd by releasing the 2
pins on the top right and left of the panel. Push the pins in and swing the
panel down exposing the back of the PC board. On that board near the bottom
centre, you should find a small black push button. By depressing this button
and holding for about 3 seconds the system will warm start re-boot.
On some models this button is actually located on the bottom of the front
part of the board which is easily visible once the panel cover is removed.

Have you checked for a reverse polarity position of a horn cct.?
Are all horn ccts installed with properly sized EOL resistors?
I would remove all horn ccts, install and EOL resistor on all associated
terminals and see if the panel then clears. If it clears then the problem is
definitely field related and not part of the control panel. How about wiring
? Is the field horn ccts sized appropriately so as not to allow for too much
V drop to the EOL devices, check it.

Good luck.
