It hasn't been made in about 7 years or so. Admeco makes ADT Focus
panels. Do you need info on the Focus 100 or the newer Focus panels
being made today?

The adt focus was manufactured by ademco to the best of my knowledge. (I'm
stretching my memory a few years here.) It was strictly a proprietary build.

If memory serves me I think the 100 was built for ADT by a company in Korea
under a contract agreement. Built only for ADT.
(I recall the owner of the Korean Electronics company paying a visit to my ADT
monitoring office on a trip to the States- of course my memeory is not as good
as I wish it was and I could be wrong)

The Focus 75 was a hybrid Vista 100.
Focus 55 was a hybrid Aritech/Moose.

The new Focus 200, Plus, Quantum & Cadet panels were/are custom &
proprietary by Ademco for ADT with function specified by ADT. I believe a
version of the ADT Focus 200 is available from ADI for anybody to buy or at
least was to be so.

All of the older Focus 6, 40, 45, 48, 256, 100, 300 etc were designed by ADT
and mostly built by ADT or for ADT by custom manufacturers here and abroad.
And of course back then we owned Aritech, ESL and others and made that
equipment also. You may have seen our old Sprinkler Flow switches, what a
work horse and I believe they cost about $700.00 to put in back then.

It is interesting looking for alarm things at the US Patent web site, ADT
invented a lot of the technology out there and still lists many patents
regarding same.

I visited our "skunk works" several times in the old days. We had some real
talents designing back then. One wall had an up & running panel of virtually
every available panel. There were biometric breadboarded designs sitting
around on tables twenty years ago.

ADT is a part of this industry, like it or not and I am proud to be part of
the history..

I go back to the McCullogh Circuit days and remember when it was a big deal
when ADT's first a "ad" was published. We had 5 Central Offices in Chicago
where I started in the North Office and later managed the Englewood Office on
the south side. We did Muhammed Ali's resi and assigned it system # 1 (What
else). The good old days.........lots of memories of fantastic people that got
the job done and satisfied the customers. All systems were ADT owned and full
service with Guard response and full services. It all changed after antitrust
and competition changed the manner in which alarm service was provided.
