I need to program new zones in this panel, change delays, and CS
reporting. The panel is circa '87, and the company that installed it
is long gone. A Programing / Install manual would be most helpful.

thanks in advance
Bruce

All thats here is the DSS-665 panel and a DCU-600 keypad. if memory
serves me correctly, all configuration at the time of in stalllation
was done via the above keypad. hope this helps

That system is only programmed by downloading or a PGM 670 Programmer from
DTI, as far as I know it cannot be programmed by a regular keypad, the 670
plugs into a port in the main board (Like the Brinks systems), finding it my
be impossible these days (although I did buy one recently from an
electronics junk place)

The only thing you can program is up to 7 secondary codes but if you don't
know the Master forget it, since the system is over 10 years old I'd suggest
investing in a new system, that one is VERY limited in what it can do and
getting spare parts is extremely difficult

DTI was bought out by Scantronics who was bought out by Sentrol, you might
get some info at www.sentrol.com

The Master Code is originally programmed with a Prom and you then can
program all

We still service these systems with ADT in the U.K
If you are in the U.K you should contact your local branch of ADT who
can still service these systems.

Hell I think Brinks still installs em! heh, look at their web page and tell
me their cheaper unit isn't a DTI make?

Kinda sad when a company installs a product over 10 years old if you ask me

I do subcontract work for Brinks... and yes they still install those old
systems. I have an Arrowhead 670 keypad to program those damn hex codes.
They did do some minor improvements with them. But I think downloading
and changing the user codes is not one of them. :(

Thanks for all the input, and in a very short time I might add.
So... Me thinks I'm in the market for new panel!! Anyone know of a
DIY supplier in Western Canada?

Thanks again, Bruce

I'm sure Robert Bass will ship to Canada if you ship back some Canadian Beer
www.basshome.com

BTW, if they have Canadian Bacon here do they have American Bacon there?
just curious

Actually, I don't supply Canada at the present time. Also, all kidding
aside, I'm a teetotaler so the beer bribe is a bust. :)

RH Campbell's partner takes good (and honest) care of our northern
neighbors, though. Give Bob a shout and he'll certainly help you.

Regards,
Robert L Bass
