Hi all,

some years ago my company bought a building with a galaxy 500
installed.
when prepping the building we accidentally shorted 2 wires wich led to
the alarm being dead. An engineer from "prosecco" ( belgian
alarmsystems comp )
came by and replaced a fuse so the alarm is back up. But !!
he also informed me that the engineer code was probably lost!!!!!
and our alarm displays: engineer reset required. Now i'm looking for
another
company to have a service contract to repair and maintain the alarm
system.
So is it possible to reset the system without engineer code? it
doesn't matter if all settings are erased since we want to start all
over again.

thx for any info on this subject

cheers

Tim

Open the panel, find a small wire link on the right hand side of the PCB
marked LK1. Open the link, power down the panel (mains and battery) then
power back up.

All memory will be wiped. Default user code is 1234 ent, default engineer
code is 112233 ent.

You will need to enter the eng code twice to get into programming mode.

Remember to close the link again after.
