You need software as well as manual if you plan on doing any programming.

Goodluck getting the EST 2 programming manual or software. Even if you get the
program software you need to have a special plug that plugs into the back of
the laptop in the printer port.Hand programming a panel is almost impossible. I
have always used a laptop and I work for EST. And the company is very secretive
on panel info. Good luck

In planning the new FireShield panels we discussed using the security plugs.
After much consideration (about two minutes) we all agreed it would be
better to drop the plugs. I always hated those things. BOLD used to use
them and when one had a problem during a major software upgrade we had to go
manual in the central station while they over-nighted a replacement to us.
Two of the engineers commented that techs gripe about plugs.

Robert

First off the fireshield panel is a conventional fire alarm panel, and you
don't need a laptop to setup this panel. So get your info right. And what type
of major software upgrade have you done and on what manually. You sound like
your full of BS when it comes to the EST products and your not distributor of
EST products. So go blow hot air up someone else ass.

Open the EST app that is used to remote program FireShield. It's called
"DACT Manager". Click [F1] to start the help system. Take a look at the
Add New Project page. See if you don't spot a familiar looking name in the
screen shot. It says "Bass Home Electronics" :^)

After that I'll see if you have the integrity to apologize for the post
below.

Hey... another thing you can do... Post a screen shot on your website...
Do some more toward creating an "about us" page that lists your triumphs and
awards and gives the client a bit of info on you. It's your chance to
"toot"...

Judging from the rude e-mail you sent we can eliminate any thought that you
might have integrity.

integrity?
from bAss?

amazing-

must be one of those 'in search of' things

For those in the forum whose sensibilities may be offended by my
opinions, my advice to those is the same as that of Justice Harlan in Cohen v. California, 403 U.S. 15 (1971): Those people " could effectively avoid further bombardment of their sensibilities simply by averting their eyes."

In other words- I don't want to hear or read your complaining.

Haw haw! Yeah, not like Bobo Bass.

Yeah, he's got so much integrity he'll tell you all about his crimes. Poor little Bobo Bass.
