Bought this machine few months ago. Wish I could give it 0 star or a negative rating The taller jar doesn't work, in the sense that, whenever I try to grind something in it, the rubber part breaks to pieces. This happens every single time!! The outer shell of the medium size jar has already cracked, The blades are touching the bottom of the jar. It is just a overpriced piece of junk.
sumeet is a house hold name however this model we purchased has a poor design. There is a safety switch that has to be locked down by the jar . The switch has a slot that the jar needs to slide into. It is flimsy and broke in 2 days. The motor died soon there after and we were very disappointed. The on line dealers were not responsive. I would not recommend this model.
We bought this last year with one year warranty, after couple uses the rubber parts and brockets are broken. We have reported and sent pictures of broken spares to dealer. We have been waiting for the spares last 7 months. It is sitting in the kitchen as show piece.
This is a wonderful machine and does a great job of all grinding/blending/food processing tasks I assign to it. The Summet company is very well-known in India and their mixie is a staple of most households. Indian cuisine requires a lot of grinding of grains, pulses, legumes, spices and to make different chutneys/sauces. This machine does it all in a snap. I have the 110 Volt version which I purchased from an Indian grocery store in the US. It took me 2-3 tries to get used to the machine and figure out how all the accessories work together but now all food processing tasks are a snap. I love the small spice grinder - just the right size for grinding small proportion of foods. The cons: I don't thing the parts are dishwasher safe. So typically, after a grinding job I run the machine with some water which removes all the debris and then cleaning by hand doesn't take long at all. Also, if you purchase the product in the United States you must know that the repair facility for the entire North American region is located in Toronto, Canada. So you would have to send your machine to Canada for any repairs. The cons not withstanding, this is a powerful machine and very good at what it is supposed to do. It cuts the overall food preparation time drastically. Definitely recommended.
I had the worst experience with this product. Within the first use the rubber parts that connect the jars to the machine came off in peices. This happenned multiple times on multiple jars. Each time I use it I also get the smell of burning rubber. Since this is within the warranty period I am returning the product.
