I am looking for a password for the software DL900 for a networx caddx nx8
system. I have the software and operator caddx but no password.
Who can help me?? It is for domestic use only !!
Thanks in forward,
Johan
Where did you get the software from? Is it original or copied from someone.
Who are you? Where are you? Are you in the alarm trade? Do you think for
one minute you're not going to get asked these questions? Provide your
email address and if you "pass muster" I'm sure someone will send it to
you...

> Who are you?
A normal domestic user !!
> Where are you?
In The Netherlands!!
> Are you in the alarm trade?
No, it is only for domestic use, I want to change some setting because I
build up a new part to my house !!!!
> Do you think for one minute you're not going to get asked these questions?
No, but no problem !!

Ok that would be great !!
The guy who responded to you does not work for Caddx. He does not represent
this forum. You don't need his permission or to "pass muster" with him for
anything. In the documentation that comes with the DL900 you will find the
default user name and password are "caddx" and "1234" respectively. It is
important that you change these right away so that any information you
record is protected against unauthorized use. The default values should not
be used because everyone who has a copy of the program knows them.
Regards,
Robert

At's my man- inernational drug cartel gets access to Caddx software!
What a man-
why didn't you e-mail it to him bAss?
that would have been too easy and would not have caused conflict, right?

For those in the forum whose sensibilities may be offended by my opinions,
my advice to those is the same as that of Justice Harlan in Cohen v.
California, 403 U.S. 15 (1971): Those people " could effectively avoid
further bombardment of their sensibilities simply by averting their eyes."

I actually emailed Robert about this (instead of posting a response in ASA).
While I personally wouldn't have crossposted this to CHA I can see why you
did. I'm not sure that the people in CHA will understand the reason though.
Perhaps some additional information should have been included.
But you're posting it now and cross-posting (I removed that) to annoy the
people in CHA who have no interest in your opinions.
> While I personally wouldn't have crossposted this to CHA

I can too. He wanted to spread a flame war into another news group that has
no interest in his BS. You've tried that too in the past and been soundly
rebuked by the adults in CHA.
> I'm not sure that the people in CHA will understand the

Sure they do. That's why they routinely suggest you go away.
> Perhaps some additional information should have been included.
Yes, like the fact that the default access code is needed to use the
software but it must be changed by the person using it to protect his own
data. It's the same as the default access code to a panel. Anyone who owns
one is entitled to know it and should immediately change it. I informed the
gentleman of the importance of changing the code.

Well it doesn't really matter. Whatis important is that you made sure
everyone that sees the post knows how to use the software-
even the inmates in Angola St. and Fl. St.
How nice
Thank you for bringing these codes to our attention, reporter12. I wouldn't
have seen them without you.
