CADDX says that the NX8 can be programmed with the NX584 (HA
Interface.) However, I'm having trouble getting it to work. I've
hooked up the cable from the PC to the 584, and loaded the CADDX DL900
windows software. When I attempted to communicate, I see a few
flashes of light on 2 of the LEDs on the 584 and then I get an error
message "Error writing data to module 0.....0". I've registed the
584, and I can "see" it from the alarm keypad.

Any suggestions?

Thanks -

What you need is the NX-586.

Actually, the NX584 works fine. It requires bits 1 and 2 to be turned
on in location 3 segment 3 of the 584. All other defaults work fine
on the 584 and will enable the DL900 software to function without the
NX-586 cable.

Hello,

I saw your posting on the Caddx NX-584 interface for the DL-900. I
have been using the NX-584 as a home automation interface for my Caddx
NX-8 panel but how do I get the DL-900 software configured to use the
COM port of the NX-584 instead of the using a modem in the DL-900
Software? I thought that the DL-900 always tried to dial out?

Thanks for any help,
Jean-Marie
