I have an 832 panel (1550) plus escort, 59xx audio, 2 x 8 zone expansion
units and three LCD keypads, during thr night (twice) and again just now
seperate keypads (i.e different each time its happened) have started
beeping. Once one long beep but hte last two times elongated beeps long
enough for me to get up and go to one of them where it said "keybus fault #
to silence", it then stopped, went blank, reset itself and displayed version
information before comming up with the wrong date/time, then finally
returning to normal operation an date/time.

Any ideas please anyone? (other than the obvious "sounds like you have
keybus fault"!!!!)

Thanks

Adam

BTW: on two occassions the unit was armed in "stay" mode (I was asleep!) yet
it didn`t go to alarm condition...

My experience with this sort of situation is that you may have a loose or
bad connection with the yellow or green wires at one or more of the keypads.
A good place to start is to check all connections at the board, and at all
the keypads. Remember the basic tenet of all diagnosis - check the simple
things first !!

Go for the keypad after the wiring is checked, usually that is the culprit

The last time we had the exact problem on a P832, after several service
calls and all combus wiring replaced, the problem still exists.

Replacing the main board solved the problem.
