I am an ex-pat from Trinidad researching my roots. My great-grandmother's maiden name was McGillis. She was a fair & staunchly proud lady till the very end. She had a connection to Guadeloupe. I suspect Scottish roots but I am unsure. Does anyone have an info on this?
