In the description, he uses the term "Honda Helix". Its not, therefore he's
a liar. Steer very clear of liars.

no- he says its a clone of a honda helix. and judging just from looks,
it looks like a damn good knockoff.

but... its not a honda, just like a vento is not a vino. no VIN numbers
given, so its impossible to tell if it can legally be registered in the
USA.

because just because someone is selling something, doesnt make it legal
to use it on public roads, even if it *looks* like a helix.

in a case like that, if its unregisterable... hm. i wondeer if buying a
salvaged helix and swapping VINs would work ;)

either way, its caveat emptor.

personally, i think the dude would be more successful just selling the
addon parts to legit helix owners.

He did in fact title it as a Honda Helix. At any rate, its a Freedom
250 put out by Madami/Transnational. Any info you want on it you can
find at www.anythingatv.com Look it up using the links on the left.
Scooters by size, then 125 to 250cc scooters and thats where it will
be. For a cheap clone they arent bad, but last I heard they werent
able to be sold in Ca. Not sure of any other issues. He has 3 on
e-bay right now, Good Luck.

nothing stopping someone from buying a wrecked helix, and putting the
vin tag and emblems on the clone. not like anyones ever going to know.

if theres a downside to it, lemme know.

if someone buys it thinking it IS a helix, they are clearly retarded.

you're missing the point, my post said the seller was a liar, not that
there's potentially ignorant buyers

Regarding www.anythingatv.com

Has anyone heard about or seen that thing called a "wheelman"

Looks like a large motorized rollerblade.
I can't imagine how it works. How can the wheels turn with out axles.

(aside: why can't people learn to bottom-post like civilized Usenetters?)

As I recall, Madami is another marque of Vento's parent company.
Personally, I'd avoid Vento or Madami or any of their associated "brands"
like the Black Plague.
