Shang Wei was founded in 1995 by Mr. Wen-Hsiung Kung. At the beginning,
Shang Wei was prepared to manufacture the H-bins, which are the core
structural materials of modern architectures. In the early spring of year
1996, after the joint with MagTech Co., Ltd., and its former relationship
with a technique company in Japan. , Shang Wei decided to transfer all of
its capitals into the development of the electric scooters.
After almost two years research and development with the help of the
Japanese technologies and many experts' advises, SWAP, Shang Wei's electric
scooter is now ready for the world, and the next generation.
Shang Wei has been working on electric scooters and has put a lot of efforts
into it. Shang Wei will be sticking with it,and keep working on it.
Hopefully one day, everyone on the earth can deeply breathe without worrying
and pollution. And, we can see the blue sky in the cities again.
During the process of the industrialization over the years, our living
environment has been badly damaged. The problem of air pollution is the most
noted issue. The Global Warming, Ozone Hole, and others are not only harming
us but also endangering our future generation. Shouldn't we start doing
something?
Shang Wei is aware of these issues and has begun to work on it. Shang Wei
invested heavily in developing the electric scooters, and finally, S.W.A.P.,
is being mass-produced now. S.W.A.P., a high performance electric scooter
successfully developed by Shang Wei, which stands for the Shang Wei Air
Preserver, differs from the gas-powered scooters. S.W.A.P. not only has the
advantages of absolutely zero emission, low noise but also save much energy.
S.W.A.P. is driven by Brushless DC Motor and CPU driving system which
provide superior power with little energy. By using the sealed lead-acid
battery, the maximum range of S.W.A.P. is 88 km at constant speed of 30
km/hr. The range can be extended up to 120 km if the NI-MH battery is used.
Furthermore, it is comfortable, convenient, and FUN while riding it.
The successful experience of Shang Wei's researching and developing S.W.A.P.
has established our leading position in the electric scooter market in
Taiwan. We will continue to work on both the improvement and developing new
models. For us, and also our future generations, let's all work together for
