We are planning to move from Connecticut to New Hampshire in the next year.
I have been searching the New Hampshire DMV web site to find any information
relative to registering scooters, but have not been able to find anything
helpful. In CT, scooters under 50cc do not require registration or license
plates. Can anyone tell me the requirements in N.H.?

I travel to NH all the time and I also checked out their website. It's
really FUBAR. I can't find anything helpful like on the Massachusetts
sites.
It's very easy to go in to the registry in NH versus many other States
at least it was last time I was there.
I have to go to the NH DMV next week so if you don't have your answer
by then let me know and I'll ask them while I am in there.

Thanks for the response on this. I am usually pretty good about digging out
information, but had no luck at all with this project. I have also posted
the question on a NH scooter forum. Hopefully, that will get a response
there.
We did get the phone number for the DMV and will give them a call if nothing
else pops up in the next day or two.

Rgds,
Jim

It's not you it's their website. It looks as tho they were trying to
appear fancy rather than informative. I went through it with their
Site Map and nothing. I did manage to find the statutes regarding
mopeds and motorcycles but no definitions for them. I'll be up there
next Tuesday and can find out right at the window, if you can't get
through to them on the phone. In Mass forget the phone they never pick
up. I don't know about NH tho.

Ah Ha I found it but what a Pain to get at it!
This link covers all the New Hampshire Laws
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/indexes/default.html

This covers Mopeds
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/XXI/259/259-57.htm

This covers Motor driven cycles
http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/XXI/259/259-65.htm

Basically it seems kind of vague but if it's not a Moped then it's
either a "Motor driven cycle" or a Motorcycle.

I did notice they repealed the laws on Cows as transport tho. :)))

I hope this helps...
