hi,

i had a look at the side a couple of weeks ago.
scooters look very nice, and i mailed with scootrs several times.
nice guys, very friendly, and a nice business idea.
prices are too high for germany (in my opinion) but for GB or the US
it would bo ok.
work is very cheap in vietnam i suppose, so they can build some
spareparts
themselves.
but i have no experience in buying a scooter from them....
Cheers, Dave

There are also emails from other customers on our site, and we can
provide references for those ordering scooters.

We just recently had a visitor here and he will post something soon, I
assume, probably on the ISBBS.

-And if your local newspaper picks it up, you may also see us in a wire
story that is going out internationally; we just had a reporter at our
shop doing something on scooters.

Obviously Mr. Page's scooter is not ours as he would know from whom he
bought it. Please post whom you bought it from as a warning to others.
This is what I always suggest. Everyone knows our name because we are
public, but the people who sell the scooters as Mr. Page mentions
operate privately and people should be warned about them.

Everything Mr. Page has mentioned, and more, was discussed in
Scootering Mag. ages ago, and is discussed on our site under a very
prominent warning against buying scooters from local Vietnamese shops.

That is not what we do. You can speak directly with references if you
wish to ask. We are the only ones here to import the parts we do with
which to restore scooters (our speedos work, we import carbs, we do
standard wiring in a neat loom, etc, etc, etc...) We also produce vey
few scooters per month.

We have many photos which show the difference on our site as well. I
will have more up about wiring (some already) and such as soon as we
can publish to our site again. I have also sent Mr. Page some photos
directly.

We just recently had a scooter arrive in the US and the customer posted
elsewhere (it is in this message thread) that the scooter had none of
the problems written about in the Scootering article.

There is also an extensive letter in this newsgroup ("An open letter
from Vietnam") that I wrote to help avoid people posting such things
under the title of my company when they have nothing to do with us
whatsoever.

well, fair enough to all the below. this thread has been on this ng for a
few days now and no adverse comments have been posted, admittedly.
additionally, if scoot rs was a scam then i'm sure it would have been
splashed across the pages of scootering long ago.

the only reason i have any concern is that the offer seems to good to be
true.... and as many a scooterist will tell you, if it seems too good to be
true, then there's a chance it isn't, so one can hardly be blamed for
checking out opinion before parting with £1500!!

if you email me privately, i'd like to sort out a possible purchase in the
not-too-distant future. i've left several messages via the webpage but i've
had no luck yet as regards replies!!

cheers,

catfish.
