I have a Honda Elite 80 (2003) 4 stroke. I would like to get a little more
horsepower out of it. Any advice? I've done a Google search and not really
turned up anything.

Thanks,

interesting new ones. - Bertrand Russell

just ride it, maintain it, and enjoy it.

want something to modify? yamaha zuma 50, or some other 50s. also-
vintage vespas, and some kymco models. the burgman 400 has a couple
aftermarket things for it as well.

http://www3.telus.net/dougsimpson/Elite_80.html has a little info. I'm
guessing that a close look at the 125/150 elites might show the engines to
be from the same family. If so, an engine swap might be in order. Possibly
the cylinder/piston from a 100/110/125cc honda single might make a ready
made big bore kit. There are pipes available for dirt bikes using engines
similar to the Elite's. You might be able to bend one around to fit or at
least use one as a guide for making your own. Check this guys ebay auction
for a honda 125cc big bore kit he makes. Since he requires a core charge to
exchange for his kit, you might ciontact him and see if he would be willing
to take a look at your cylinder/piston and make you up a kit.

These guys are Honda dirtbike 4 stroke specialists and have many parts for
the XR 80 - they may be able to help you out, too.

I think there are good prospects for more power out of the 80 - but you'll
need to be a pioneer to figure it out.

I'm thinking turbocharger or supercharger!

I've heard of a guy who did this to a Riva 180. The thing would to
wheelies. I don't know how long the engine lasted...

All I can say is trying to get more HP / top speed out of an Elite 80
is quite a project. Finding parts won't be easy, and getting the
scooter tuned and rejetted will require good skills and proper
equipment (like a dyno and an exhaust gas analyzer). Fitting a
CH125/CH150 engine is a major project. It will mean frame &
electrical mods. Who knows how it would handle.

Then... with the new top speed you will likely find the brakes, frame,
and suspension inadequate. Just buy a 100+ HP 1000cc motorcycle -
that's what I did :>).

How did it go? I have been looking at bore kits and such but I don't know what would fit.
