Questions for the group

Does anyone have any information on how to derestrict a Derbi Atlantis? Is
it difficult? Also, what are some good hop up parts for this scoot??

Thanks

Replace the down pipe on the exhaust with the bigger one you may have got
with the scooter (depending on whick country you're in.

My Atlantis's had large washers with a small hole tack-welded at 3
points just inside the first bend of the exhaust header in front if the
silencer. Pull the exhaust system off , use a mototool to weaken the
tack-welds, then using a long screwdriver and a hammer break the welds and
remove the washer. Put the system back on, viola, now it will go 40+.

Throw away that whole systen and get a performance "tuned pipe" like I
did, get rid of the stock rollers in the CVT and change them to 5.5 gram
ones, then it would go up to 55 MPH ,with very smart
acceleration off the line.

It could be that current models also have a rpm limiting coil. That can be
removed and replaced. Ask Tamas at gfar...@yahoo.com how he did his
Predator. My Atlantis's didnt have that problem, but they're"99's.

MetraKit in Barcelona makes a whole line of hop up parts for Derbi. "Cycle
Imports" in Florida imports and sells them. "Technigas" in Spain makes a
very
inexpensive exhaust system they say is quieter than MK, but I havnt heard
from anybody about quality.

I put a 70 cc kit and a 17.5mm carb on my second
Atlantis for even more power, but the most bang for the buck has got to be
the roller and tuned pipe combination I first mentioned. By the way, when
looking for parts, any hop-up, or moving part that will fit the earlier
Derbi" Hunter" or "Paddock" models will fit the Atlantis.
Mail me at greggs...@metacrawler.com and I'll send you a jpeg of my 70
MPH Atlantis.

Start at the beginning. Clean air filter, clean gas, clean jets, good spark, Often, the restrictor plate is in the intake. Look for a gasket with a hole in it.
