You are mistaken on one point: Xenu is not the god, but the satan of
Scientology. However, the details of the Xenu myth are kept secret from
parishioners until they have paid sufficient tribute to receive the
revelation.

Therefore, those who wish to liberate other beings from the strangehold
of the cult are happy to spread Xenu's story far and wide as an example
of Hubbard's science fiction writing prowess.

Is this supposed to be an example of "hate speech" ?

Or are you sincere, and simply venting?

This is a free and open Forum.

A follow up message would help give you some credibility.

Actually, Xenu is the villian in Scientology. It was he who brought all
those aliens to Earth...or should I day Teegeeack...and slaughtered
them, thus causing us to be plagued by ailments caused by Alien Thetan
possesing. If anything, Xenu is Scientology's equivalent of the Devil.

BTW, most Scientologists probably don't know about the Xenu story.
They're told it only when they reach OT III, and when they do and are
told, they're strictly forbidden to talk about it to anyone who isn't a
fellow OT III or higher.

If you're going to proceed as one of a long and mostly honorable list of
critics of Scientology, you need to get your facts right.

Xenu is not a "God" in the Scientology religion. No, he's an evil
villain. The Scientologists who know about him (which is a tiny
percentage of the whole) are at war with Xenu. You are correct in
labeling him as fictitious (a word which you badly misspelled, btw)
character. He definitely is fictitious.

> Fuck Scientology - a fruad of a semi-relgious cult

Yes, Scientology is indeed a fraud (spelling again), as it promises lots
of grandiose things, in both the material and spiritual planes, while
delivering mostly self-congratulating, self-hypnosis. From an
operational viewpoint, however, it's fairly effective self-hypnosis (at
least for those who can actually manage can choke down all the bullshit
that Scientology feeds its members).

> Fuck $cientologists and their claimed "knowledge"

In their minds, their superiority and "true" knowledge makes them the
next sooPER race of beings, and divinely grants them the added
responsibility and right to control society, including you and me.

They even have a scripture that tells them that if they deleted the
"aberrated" people from society (without sorrow), the fictitious Tone
Scale of humanity would go up. What other political group in recent
history does that remind you of?

> fuck john travolta - fuck tom cruise

Just like Kelly and Katie do...

> I shit on your religion.

> I shit on your cult

You've got that angry young man thing down pat.

But please do continue telling all your friends that it's a scam.

> I shit on your non-existant "god" Xenu.

> Fuck Xenu!

We've already covered your error about Xenu.

> $cientologists, your words are laughable

Yes, unless the Scientologist happens to be your child, or your parent,
or a loved one, or friend who has been convinced by the cult to
permanently cut off contact with you because you're an ESSPEE.

Michael Reuss your arguements are apologist and awful. if the best
attack you can make of someone's opinion is their poor spelling then
perhaps you deserve a nice quiet sit down. some people can't spell - it
really isn't important - it is proven to have no effect on your
intelligence, so shut up.
you're correct that the original post had flaws in the argument
(misunderstanding that 'xenu' is bad rather than good). ok, fair
enough, but that doesn't invalidate his argument that scientology is
the biggest, steamiest pile of wank to be unleashed on the public in
quite some time now.
don't tolerate things for the sake of toleration. question. don't play
devil's advocate because someone's argument has a flaw - stick up for
what is quite obviously correct. i agree with the original poster and
his anger. i think people who aren't angered by this terrible crap
should be appauled at themselves. conning people, lying to them,
getting their hopes up - wrong. which ever religion you belong to.
i think all religions are fairytales, but i can appreciate that they've
done a lot of good things and promoted some nice values around the
world. scientology does nothing of this. it promotes selfishness and
arrogance. anyone who believes in that can go screw the corpse of ron
hubbard

summary:
stop being a large douche.

Miss Rose-

Critics are concerned when other people purporting to be critics use
faulty logic and unprofessional writing to make their points.
Oftentimes these folks are not really critics, but rather they are
members of CoS that are posting here in an effort to discredit other
critics.

So we are very concerned about the TRUTH and we encourage everyone to
post logically and truthfully and professionally. Anything less is
not needed.

Yet another person typing in expletives like "Fsck Xenu!" and "Fsck
Scientology" is a complete waste of time. We need people to cogently
explain why the Church of Scientology is evil in order to be effective.

I have just recently started reading up on scientology. I WAS! a
fairly big Tom Cruise and John Travolta fan, among many other idiots
that I've come to find out follow this ridiculous sect. C'mon. Tom
Cruise, John Travolta, superstars who seem to have at least some level
of intellegence. How does someone fall for this line of crap. Lemme
see...Sci-fi writer creates a "religion"(in the case of Co$ I believe
it to be more of an organized crime ring), and Xenu evil galactic
warlord who sends people of an overpopulated planet in airliners with
jet(travolta's son, probably where the name came from, sure he likes to
fly) engines to earth. I think I will start a religion where everyone
gets on a road instead of a bridge...yeah, that's good. A brick
road...wait...a yellow brick road, that leads to a big tower, a green
one. Where once there you can mind control people, fly , become
invisible, possibly even get a diploma. Give me a L Ron Hubbard damn
break. I'm suprised we're alive to be even typing here, given the leak
of the xenu story that we don't have the capacity to handle. I found
myself so physically drained that I could barely maintain consciousness
after reading the story.(yeah, ok). Of course maybe if I were a movie
star who would have immediately been OT IV it wouldn't have affected me
so deeply. I would think any church that blatantly opens a mission to
"recruit" wealthy, popular people would send up some red flags. And
maybe Tommy boy should check ol' Hubby's death certificate and see that
his holy father was doped up on "evil" Brooke Shields type meds when he
died. Yeah, I don't have all the secrets to scientology etc, can't
afford em, but lets see Vinny Barbarino get rid of a nice goiter by
hooking up to an E-meter and getting some counceling. The Co$ gets so
pissed off at people for voicing their opinions they just sue everyone.
That's slanderous, you know nothing about us. Well then , don't be so
damn secretive. Not all of us have access to Tom Cruise's bank acocunt.
(oops, dyslexic, I should pay $xxx, xxx to take some scientology courses
to get rid of that. Sure, scientology has done some good for people,
narcanon, etc. But they've done it by extorting money out of innocent
people. Rob from the middle and low class and give to the narc addicts,
not to do good, but more than likely to try to give your cult some
credibility. All these stars that are into Co$ are probably just
sitting there getting kickbacks from all the money it's raking in.

ok, I'm done, sry bout the book, buy pretty passionate about this junk

Heh! You know where a large douche does the most good, don't you? ;-)

In spite of this childish sniping, at least we seem to agree that
Scientology scams people and harms their interests. I'm glad that we
agree on that.

There are a few people out there that think Scientology is actually
giving good value in exchange for all the money and time they demand of
their poor, deluded marks. Can you imagine?

And I guess that reminds me that our job is not to persuade each other.
That's like preaching to the choir. Our job is to persuade them, and
more importantly, to persuade the public who might otherwise be
ignorant, and thereby be more vulnerable to Scientology's grandiose
promises.

I'm sure you'll agree with me about that, right Miss Rose?
