I am sick and miserable, and have to have an operation, so I would like
everyone to join together and say "ohhhhh, poor baby"! Thanks.

Well, I am having the old gall bladder removed next Thursday. I'm having
episodes of intense pain daily, so the surgeon wants to do it as soon as
possible, and I am quite pleased to be getting rid of it! I have never had
an operation before, so I am a bit nervy, but I'm sure I'll be fine, and it
really isn't that serious. Just painful! Will keep you posted.

Thanks for the concern :-)

Fortunately, given advances in medicine, what was once a major
invasive procedure is now nearly an outpatient one.
My mother (72) had hers removed a few months ago, and was back in her
garden in three days, and fully recovered in a couple of weeks (one
week before they removed the exterior stitches, another before she was
approved to go back to her aquatics exercise class.)

Best Wishes

David Gallowglass

Well, surgery went well, I am still sore and sorry a week later, but healing
slowly. I am going a bit crazy being stuck at home, and finding it hard to
study for exams, but it gets easier every day. I get my dressings removed
finally on Tuesday, so I am looking forward to that. My nephew was getting
a bit boisterous today, though, and accidentally gave me both knees right
into my stiches, so I am a bit worse today than I should be! I never get
used to how much more energy boys have, since I had two nieces before he was
born!
Thanks for your concern :-)
