Friends of Clayoquot Sound (FOCS) is an environmental
organization based in Tofino in Clayoquot Sound on the
west coast of Vancouver Island.
They lobby against cutting of old growth forest, against
salmon farming in wild salmon habitat, and against mining
with toxic tailings, among other things.
Musician Sarah McLachlan is a member of FOCS and spends
some time in Tofino and over the years has performed
in several musical benefits for FOCS.
