who refused to pay £20 TO JOIN HIS PATHETIC FORUM.
Now they issue this statement, do they realy expect you to believe this
trivel, cant they at least credit their members with a little inteligence,
if you cant see this as what it realy is you belong on Toecutters forum,
would they have said anything if the members just paid and said nothing ....
work it out for yourselves. below is their statement as to why they
introduced a £20 fee to join their forum, do you honestly believe it ....

You have all taken part in a test - to whit most of you have failed
dismally.
On Wednesday Toecutter & I popped our heads round the door at the Mediacast
show. We didn't stay long coz the word on the street was the floozies from
SexView weren't up for a DP with me & Toe. Anyway I'm getting off the
subject, on the way out to the car park we bumped into three dudes we know
and got chatting outside to these dudes who were basically slagging the
hobby saying the majority of sat hobbyists are nothing more than a bunch of
freeloading parasites.
The conversation went on for some time and went on a bit but one of the
points they made, was how members would put up posts in bad times like, "we're
behind you 100% - anything we can do to help m8 just ask" etc,etc would fall
on deaf ears if we'd asked them to put their hand in their pocket to help
finance the running costs of a site the size of ours.
We pissed ourselves and said your talking shite. We said we'd prove our
point by asking our members for a small fee for a yearly membership -
nothing more than the cost of a big mac a month, £1.60 a month which equates
to £20 a year.
They said your on but don't be surprised when you see we're right. I think
Toe's reply at that point was something along the lines of, "prepare to eat
humble pie, fookers"
We discussed the idea over a couple of whoppers at Burger King (we had to
pay for them too, what a cheek. What has happened to the burger hobby scene
man, fook ya gotta pay for them bad boys dude - I can't see this idea
catching on BK)
Anyway we put the thing into practice and we've never seen anything like it
in our lives. All the excuses under the sun about how poor you are and how
you can't afford it. Man if u can't afford £1.60 a month then where the fook
do you to connect your laptops in cardboard city? Man get out from the
doorway of Woolworth's and sort ya fookin lives out.
I'm starting to think 90% of our members stink of fookin piss now.
The bottom line is we were wrong and the dudes we had a bet with are right.
It's ok for us to foot the bill to keep our sites online as long as you don't
have to.
This has come as quite a shock to me as I thought our members were better
than that but from what I've seen so far this test has proven one valuable
thing.. I couldn't count on your support if I really needed it.
This raises a serious question for me now, why should I carry on?
