To update my satellite alignment calculator ...
http://www.macfh.co.uk/JavaJive/AudioVisualTV/SatelliteTV/SatelliteCalculator.html
... I've just downloaded a new satellites.xml from ...
http://satellites-xml.eu/
... and various differences have led me to query some entries with
both Lyngsat and SatcoDX ...
http://www.lyngsat.com/
http://www.satcodx.com/eng/
... and, where possible, the spacecraft operators'/owners' websites.

If anyone can shed any definite light on the following differences I'd
be very grateful:

1) The xml and Lyngsat sites no longer list EchoStar 1/5 (148.0W) ...
http://www.lyngsat.com/america.html
... but SatcoDX does ...
http://satcodx6.tele-satellite.com/eng/
... and all I managed to find to indicate that it might have been
retired was this ...
http://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/180100-echostar-1-drifting-east.html

Is it there or not?

2) The xml site no longer lists Thaicom 1A (120.0E), but Lyngsat
does ...
http://www.lyngsat.com/asia.html
... and so does SatcoDX ...
http://satcodx4.tele-satellite.com/eng/

Presumably it is still there?

BTW, when Lyngsat list Thaicom as incl. 0.7 does mean that the
spacecraft's orbit is inclined so that its elevation will change
slightly over time, or the spacecraft itself is inclined thereby
giving a non-standard skew?

3) Neither the xml site nor Lyngsat list Measat 2 (148E) ...
http://www.lyngsat.com/asia.html
... but SatcoDX does ...
http://satcodx5.tele-satellite.com/eng/
... and so does the satellite operator's website ...
http://www.measat.com/satellite_148e_measat2.html

Presumably it is still there?

4) Noone lists Superbird A (158E) anymore ...
http://www.lyngsat.com/asia.html
http://satcodx5.tele-satellite.com/eng/
http://www.sptvjsat.com/en/business/satellite/list/

When did it go?

TIA for any definite information forthcoming ...
