Does anyone have an e-mail address for Channel 5 ?
I think we should all write them a little note and
say thanks for sending in the clear and hope they
continue to do so. I noticed that a lot of their
advertisers are international companies and I'm
sure that they'd appreciate the letters.
Anyone know an e-mail address or fax number for
them ?
cheers
Dane

Channel 5 doesn't have a very wide coverage into UK homes through
'normal' transmitters at the moment. My guess would be that once they
have, the satellite feed would cease as CH5's budget is limited.

I have gone out to look for myself. If I should return

A quick look thro' a tv channel guide produced
a web site: www.channel5.co.uk.
Maybe there's an e-mail address on there?

snail-mail address is:
Channel 5 Broadcasting
22 Long Acre
London WC2E 9LY

I'm sure Channel 5 would be delighted to hear from all their European -
by satellite - in the clear - viewers! - wouldn't be surprised if they
outnumbered the UK viewers??!

Cheers
Jane

Channel 5 never will have a 'wide coverage' via terrestrial transmitters,
there isn't any channel space available and they never intended to provide
full terrestrial coverage. I beleive they are talking about 74% coverage
(by population! not area) with 85% coverage once the last round of conversions
are completed on ch35 later this year.

Basically you either have to live in a large city or have access to a main
transmitter, otherwise watch via transponder 63.

Nigel.
