TechniSat releases budget FTA DigiBox
TechniSat has released the DigiBox 1, a budget digital set-top box available
with a 55cm Alu-Rapid dish pack for just £175 or stand-alone for £145.00.
The DigiBox 1 is a compact receiver with a 500 TV and 500 radio channel
capacity, Electronic Programme Guide, DiSEqC control, and as with all
TechniSat products is "Made in Germany" with a minimum 2 year manufacturers
warranty. The package offer for £175 including dish allows access to the
free-to-air Astra digital programme line-up with over 90 TV and 50 radio
stations free-of-charge. The compact 55cm Alu-Rapid dish included, will
allow reception of the Astra satellite system in most of mainland -Europe
and the United Kingdom, as well as other satellites within the footprint.

Cool - except the box is not really new, it has been on the market in
a slightly different housing for over 1 year under the name "Telestar
Diginova 1". Technisat is an OEM manufacturer for Telestar and the
majority of Telestar products are repackaged Technisat products
usually offered 20% cheaper than their Technisat counterparts.
