hello. i've the antenna shown on the pictures in the atachment (also on
http://home.arcor.de/f1y7/Bild000.jpg ,
http://home.arcor.de/f1y7/Bild001.jpg ,
http://home.arcor.de/f1y7/Bild002.jpg ). i want a new lnb because i
think it is to old and not sensible enough (also has only "Low-Band" i
think ('cause around 20 years old)). which lnb can i use and where to
get it or where to get more answers on my question?

hallo. ich habe die in den als dateianhang beigefügten bildern (oder
unter http://home.arcor.de/f1y7/Bild000.jpg ,
http://home.arcor.de/f1y7/Bild001.jpg ,

Please do not attach anything to Usenet postings, the URLs are enough

The feedhorn on your dish needs to be retained as the focal length of
many older dishes does not match todays uni-LNBs.

This means that you will need a so-called C120 flanged uni-LNB which
should fit onto the existing feedhorn.

C120 LNBs are available from most Sat dealers.

This is not a medium for HTML messages.

The dish is a rather old prime focus dish and you might be
better off getting rid of it and buying a new offset dish
as the LNB's are cheaper.

LIDL had some nice 80cm dishes for 8 euros and LNB's for
around 4 last time they were in stock.

Yes you need a universal LNB rather than an old low band
one, but a lot depends on what satellite you want to see.

As it seems you are in Germany I can't really recommend any suppliers.

But if you put "C120 LNB" into gooogle.de it should throw up loads. If
you add your town or laender then it might give a shop near you.

You might want to consider a twin or a quad LNB as many of the latest
Sat PVR receivers need two inputs.

In the UK google throws up http://www.satellitesuperstore.com/lnbs.htm
I use that as an example of what is available and not a recommendation.
Ebay has them as well.

MediaMarkt have an extensive range of Dishes and LNBs.

Many ordinary German supermarkets sell sat kit at very reasonable prices.
