Boomerang have permanently ceased transmission of CNN & CNNfn. They did not
inform subscribers, I had to ring them up to find out. That only leaves AP
& ESPN, but for how long!!!!!!. Can these boxes be used for any other FTA
stuff on PAS8. I realise that they own the box and will retreive it in due
course, but it would be nice to use it for something else until that
happens. From what I can see, I would need to password to get into the
"factory settings" part of the box. Any ideas?

I agree with a few caveats. One is that they stated in their contract that I
had to be a member for 18 months, so I view that as a two way street. And why
am I paying the same amount of money for only two of the five original
channels??? The only saving grace is that they have not canceled ESPN Pacific
Rim yet (the reason that I got this service in central Oz).

I once opened up the IRD and noted the Taiwanese manufacturer of the unit and
found them on the net, but they declined to respond to my query. If anyone has
further information on the wankers at Boomerang, please share it ;-)

Just cancel payments at your bank, you paid for 5 channels and now get 2?
and those 2 that are left are broadcasting FTA!
I think you know what to do :-0

I forked out $500 bucks to end up with 2 lousy channels. I emailed TPG and
asked if they would at least give me the factory code to get in to the
digital receiver and perhaps use it for something else .....It's been weeks
and still no reply. I will be canceling my subscription with TPG as soon as
I find a decent Internet provider. The way TPG are handling this cockup is
very unprofessional. They might as well have said "FUCK YOU" to all the
people that sighned up for Boomerang TV, because they sure aren't listening
to any complaints that there customers have. FUCK THE FUCKING FUCKERS !!!!!

Ok we need to get a project going to get this pin number worked out how many
digits is it?

Maybe a reset is possible by holding down the buttons on switching on?

"boomer"

I just cancelled mine, and they sent out a huge postpak bag with
instructions for returning the box. They also said I'll get a $165. refund
upon the ruturn of the box.

I just got a reply from TPG;

"Dear TPG Customer,

The factory code for the set-top boxes are only known by the manufacturer of
these boxes so we will be unable to issue you with this password.

Regards,
TPG Helpdesk"

Sounds like a lot of crap to me.

Has anyone found that pass code yet?
