Memory data card for Garmin eMap

This is a question which has probably been asked many times but as I'm new to
the NG....

Is there an alternative to the Garmin memory card which is bloody expensive?

Yes, there are 'compatible' Garmin data cards floating around. I bought
mine new off e-bay
for 1/2 the price of a garmin original in the UK and it works fine!

Have a look at http://www.gpscity.com/australia.html

Looks like GPS city are setting up mail order in Adealiade with the
first shipment due 18 April.

Pricing for both Garmin and Magellan is much closer to US pricing.
