I have a Garmin Emap and recently began having problem of not detecting any
satelites/reception. I've reloaded latest firmware version to no avail,
still cannot detect satelites. Any ideas re troubleshooting??

Do you have access to another GPS receiver? That would at least let you
determine that the problem isn't due to some external interference.
Do you have an external antenna you can attach to see if the internal one
has a problem?
Turning the unit on while holding the ESC key will reset it - but you'll
lose all user data so back it up first.

if it has been off for a while then it may need to reinitialise, leave it
outside with a view of sky and still, for at about half an hour. worth a
try anyway.

Thanks for the help from Peter & Mr Cheerful......unit is working again. I
did reset using "esc" while powering on. However, initially no
change........later while at lunch I allowed the unit to stay on & exposed
to sky and when I returned all was working fine. Thanks again for your help
and troubleshooting ideas.
