Hi
Yesterday when I turn on my GPS (Garmin 48) I got the message that said
internal battery low. The gps had been whithout battery for a while. I had
to replace the batteries, and when I turn it on again this morning I got no
message. I called the dealer and they told me that the internal battery is a
rechargeable battery, and that it takes about 10 days to charge it if the
gps is switched off, and about 10 hours if it is turned on. In the manual it
says that the internal battery is a lithium battery, but since I didn't got
any message today I guess they are right. They also told me that they have
had a couple hundred phonecalls about the same. My gps48 is from 1999.
