Alternatively, does anyone know a utility able to convert old MLR waypoint
files to any other format ?
EasyGPS popped up with a search (Free).

As I am a very happy long time ExpertGPS user, you might try the free trial
also. (Same Author)

GPSBabel is always a good place to look for any GPS conversions, but a quick
check says they may have not gotten to it. You can use GPSBabel if you
discover the format.

Many thanks for the links to easygps and expertgps.
Unfortunately, none of these was able to open the MLR files I am trying to
convert.
Thanks again.

Perhaps I can offer "GPS Utility" together with the "Import File
Converter" - see www.gpsu.co.uk. If this does not work for you, then
please send me a small sample file and I may then be able to give you
better advice.

I am one of your customers, and of course the first thing I tried was GPSU,
but unfortunately it was unable to read it.
I will ask the owner of the files if it's a problem to pass them over to
you.
