I'm using Windows XP with Service Pack 1 (one) and I'm can't get
MapSend Topo 3D USA to run on my computer at all. It installed fine,
but when I try to run it, I get an error saying: "There is no
appropriate MapSend Topo 3D USA CD-ROM in drive D:\." and it prevents
the program from launching. I do, in fact, have the appropriate CD in
the CD drive, but it refuses to recognize it. I know that this sort of
thing has been a problem with other MapSend variants, in particular
with Windows XP Service Pack 2. Does anyone know what's going on and
how I can fix it? Any help would be very much appreciated. Answers
other than "upgrade to SP2" would be particularly appreciated.

Ok with that said is magellan doing anything to resolve the problem. And I
have a friend with an older version of map send Topo, (don't know the
version) will it work on my explorist 210?

I just bought a Magellan Explorist 500 w/Mapsend Topo 3D USA and had
the same problem. I called customer support (on hold for about an hour)
and was told they are receiving 10 complaints each day. They were very
nice, easy to deal with and well send you a NEW CD to fix the problem.
Go here http://freightyard.net/projects/MagellanGPS/ and you can fix it
to work w/o the CD in the drive till you get your new cd from Magellan.
