San Francisco: where to buy etrex vista hcx ?

Hi,

I will travel in a few weeks to San Francisco. I plan to buy there a
Garmin Etrex Vista hcx which is less expensive in US than in Europe...
Where can I get a good price ?
Using Garmin dealer list, the best price I found was aroud $300. On
amazon.com, it's around $220.
Which shop can you recommand me ?

In the USA, www.tvnav.com is my choice. If you know where you will be
staying, you can have it shipped to San Francisco (TVNav is located in
Kansas). Darrel's prices are usually as low as any you'll find with the
additional bonus that he stands behind his products and GPS is basically his
livelihood.

Will you be getting the Americas or Atlantic basemap?

Thanks. But, I will only stay a few days in a hotel, so it might be a
bit short to get it delivered at the right time. I would prefer
to get it in a shop...

I guess it will be the US basemap. But, I don't really care as this
one is almost useless...

Actually in San Francisco, or the area?

REI.com has stores in San Francisco, and might be a friendlier place to
shop. They list $299 for the HCx.

walmart.com is cheaper, but they might not have all models of GPS in stock.
No stores in San Franciso, but in the area.

Many major retailers carry Garmin. Target, Walmart, Circuit City, Best
Buy, are a few that have stores in San Francisco and the metro area.

You might just walk down the streets, too. There are a lot of discount
camera stores. They probably carry GPS units.
