Hi to everybody,

due a problem caused by P.O.I.s loaded on my device, I need to reset
my Nuvi 205. How can I do this? Can I reset the device to the initial
factory configuration?

Thanks a lot.

Try pressing and holding the lower right corner of the screen while
powering the unit on.

I proceeded to do whatever you wrote but the device doesn't respond.

If the 205 is the same as the 200 than there is a reset button on the
bottom. Look for the decal and on one side you see a reset button (it
is a littlebit hard to see).
I have no experience with resetting the device but you might try this.
If this reset also cures your problem i d'not know.
Succes with it

I just tried it on my 265WT and it works but you have to keep applying
pressure to the lower right corner of the screen while pushing the
power slider to the left and holding it there until you see a message
that says "Do you really want to erase all user data?".

Apparently the holding of the power slider to the left until the
message pops up is the part that I wasn't specific about and had
actually forgotten until just trying the procedure again. Give it
another shot and it should work since this is supposed to work on all
205 series units.

BTW, Garmin telephone tech support is where I got this from.

The Quick Start Manual - page 8 - says if no reset button, slide the
Power key to the on/off position and hold it for 8 seconds
