When I tack the sail rubs on the mast and on the sidestays as it comes
across. The sheets rub hard on the mast and the sidestays. The
sheets sometimes get caught on the cleats for the halyards which are
affixed to the mast. The boat has two black plastic (guides) that the
sheets go through then they turn 90-degrees through a stainless (guide
loop) and come through the (jamming cleat?) into the boat. Does this
sound like the way its supposed to be - it looks like its awfully
abrasive? Is there a way to rig this to make it better?
Also, there are two mounting holes for the sidestays and an adjustable
forestay and I don't have a clue which of the two holes I should use
(I use the front ones just because) and how tight I should make to
forestay (I mkae it pretty tight but not too tight).
TIA for any thoughts or suggestions.
